PlayBasic Gets a New IDE

With each passing week PlayBasic compiler / interpreter have been steadily moving towards release edition. Unfortunately though, at the last minute, we've had to out-source the IDE. We've not totally sure how much this will effect our time line towards release, but realistically I doubt it could be done inside a month. We're still hoping to have something available later this month though.
The great news is that the new IDE will have all the existing functionality of the current version. So it's no way a regression. But a much needed step forward.

First PlayBasic Demos Released

Today sees the release of three compiled PlayBasic (alpha) examples. While two are tech demos, the third is a very playable 5 In A Row game called 'QuinTrow'. It's a lot fun, and certainly takes a bit of beating.
You can find the demos posted in the PlayBasic section of these forums. We hope you enjoy them.

PlayBasic Goes Public

PlayBasic is an interpreted procedural basic language, focusing upon the development of graphical 2D programs, namely games. While still heavily in development, the compiler has recently reached a mature state. This core language focuses on bringing a very powerful command set to the new users finger tips, while not limiting the advanced functionality by also.
